About LaBL

Building the field of language biomarkers.

An interdisciplinary lab at Emory University, LaBL blends psychology, linguistics, and computer science to build the field of language biomarkers. We run psychological assessments, automate data pipelines, and use computational tools to trace how language reflects what is happening inside the brain.

At the core of our work is sharper psychiatric diagnostics. We want the tools clinicians use to reflect what the science actually knows about how cognition breaks down.
